2011 Annual Meeting
Saturday evening was the annual meeting, held at a Chili's restaurant near the show site. Attendance was low, but the discussion was good and we worked out how to do the balloting for our proposed revisions to the standard.
Sunday we went to Buckeyes Plantation, a beautiful location for field events, had a "fun hunt" with nice big quail, a picnic lunch and our first AKC Water Test. Congratulations to the Duff's dog, Zoldmali Piske, for being the first Wirehaired Vizsla to pass the Water Test!

Board members present: Nancy E., Deb W., Beth S. and Amanda J. attended.
Old Business:
Nominations for the 2012-2014 Board
are still being worked on. We have at least 2 director positions to fill
and Secretary will need to be filled. Amanda J. will continue to
work on the nomination slate.
Today a judges education seminar was
conducted. There were suggestions by the judges to fix grammatical errors
and to clarify the height as adult height.
There was also discussion about
teeth. If judges need to count teeth and or
open mouth to see teeth, education needed to owners/handlers to be prepared to
open mouth fully for a tooth count.
Nancy moves to make the
changes/addition to the height sentence in the standard , make
grammatical changes and membership to be mailed a ballot with URL for changes
to standard. Ballots will be mailed out by November 1st and postmarked
back to the board by November 30th 2011. Second by amanda.
